Biblical Counseling

I completed my studies with Women Becoming Whole and received two Certifications, one as a Christian Health Mentor and the other as a Holistic Biblical Counselor.

They say the mind is a battlefield. I must agree. I had my time battling thoughts of how I felt about myself through my teens and into adulthood, which created anxiety. I found myself changing my clothes multiple times before I would leave the house. I felt I was not skinny enough or perfect. I was the one with low self-esteem and always second-guessing myself. I had my struggles with PCOS; body image issues and negative thoughts started to creep back in with the new challenges of menopause. I did not feel I was good enough because the scale numbers went up 24 pounds which seemed like overnight. Learning that my mind, the scale, and the world do not dictate my worth I began to let go of perfect and allow myself some GRACE.

Biblical counseling is provided weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly depending on the situation you are facing. The duration is different for everyone.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Nourished Program

I offer a nourished program designed by Jamie Jacinto, the founder of Woman Becoming Whole.

The Nourished program is a 5-week wellness devotional program. To connect you with food, fitness, and the fruits of the spirit. With goal setting centered around the fruits of the spirit- Love, joy, gentleness, patience, and self-control. Together we will create realistic daily goals to connect you to wholeness mind, body, and Spirit. During the five weeks, we will connect weekly by phone or via Zoom to set your weekly goals. We will go over what the prior week was like for you connecting you to scripture and how it is helping you in your daily life. This is a refreshing devotional and a way to reflect on the areas God is developing you as a wife, mother, and God’s daughter. This program is designed for a small group of women but can be done individually.  I can’t wait to connect with you!

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Romans 12:2

I Get It

I have been through the stages of grief. I know the pain and heartache of the loss of loved ones. I lost both my parents to cancer. I understand the emotions of dealing with loss.

Grief does not only come with the loss of loved ones, it can come in the forms of an elderly person grieving who they once were and the loss of their independence. It’s the woman who grieves the way they felt before having kids. It’s grieving the loss of a job you claimed as the job of your dreams. For me, grief came not only with the loss of loved ones but also when I went into menopause. I missed the healthy and strong body I created with daily devotion to my health. I felt awful. I felt outside my own body trying to figure out who I was.

By shifting my mindset and accepting that I am in menopause, I found the ability to focus on the things that help my health over dwelling on how I felt. Consistency is key when it comes to health towards our mind, body, and spirit. I have found my identity in Christ, and have a love and acceptance for who I am inside and out. My confidence in who he says I am makes me stronger in my ability to face the challenges thrown at me.

Grief is different for everyone, and we are not meant to go through hard times alone. I want to sit with you, listen, and offer you a safe space to grieve. If that is you, please contact me. I offer a safe zone so you can express your emotions.

As a Biblical counselor, I work with ladies to get them to wholeness. This is wholeness with God- Mind, Body, and Spirit.

What is wholeness? Knowing God embraces us in our brokenness and with his touch we are made whole. Wholeness is when we make God the central point of focus. Acknowledging that everything we do should be centered on how we think, and how we conduct our outward expressions to others, it’s knowing our identity in Christ and connecting to the Holy Spirit living in us so we can be the reflection of Christ. Living a life that is pleasing to the Lord and pursuing him so we may be blessed with his contentment, happiness, love, and mercy. MIND-BODY–SPIRIT.

It is when we have the mind, body, and spirit connection that helps us to live a life of gratitude for our unique and flawless body. Learning to keep the negative thoughts away and applying the positive thoughts. Renewing our mind – Ephesians 4:23-25. It is honoring our bodies in ways that are holy and pleasing to the Lord. Romans 12:1-2. Nurturing our body with healthy foods, maintaining a self-care routine, and having a relationship with movement keep the body strong because God desires us to be healthy.

To be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness. Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Ephesians 4:23-25
